We created the Canal Side Guest House with group and family vacationers in mind. Since we enjoy traveling with our friends, too, we have tried to make our home just as we would like to find when on the road. There are plenty of common areas where you can gather with your friends and family, for meals, games, movie watching, or just chatting by the fireplace.  We have places for your to hang your gear at the end of the day and a shower for you to use even after you have already checked out. 

  With the inclusion of our two sofa beds and a futon chair, it is possible to sleep eleven people in our house.  For groups that are even larger, we have been known to allow additional hardy guests to sleep on the carpeted floors down by the fireplace. Or maybe the kids would prefer to pitch their tent out in the yard.

  If any of your family members happen to be noisy at night or need early bedtime hours(such as young children), please be respectful of our other guests and reserve the entire house.

 We regret that pets are not permitted.  We do, however, have two spoiled kitties named Bebop and Dolce whom you are welcome to come visit.  We do not allow them to visit the guest house for fear of irritating anyone's allergies.

  There are  many ducks and geese living along the canal.  And in the spring there are many ducklings and gosslings.  We have actually been adopted by two renegade chickens, too.
